The 4500 Series theatre swingdoors for hospitals and healthcare features a lightly textured one-piece polymer door panel that has been high density filled with non-CFC urethene foam for maximum durability and insulation quality. The panel has no gaps or joins, and is impervious to moisture and acid/petroleum products. Designed for positive-pressure environments where hygiene is of utmost importance in Hospitals and Healthcare environments. Unlike the heavy, wooden swingdoors so commonly used in medical facilities today, the Remax range of swingdoors are up to 50% lighter and more effective and easier to operate for hospital staff and patients.

Engineered to last! The REMAX range of Traffic doors have been designed and engineered for use in harsh and heavy duty hospital and healthcare applications, where standard timber door systems fail.

The unique ‘clean design’, aluminium and stainless steel hardware, and non-painted finishes make the theatre swingdoors for hospitals and healthcare ideally suited to many Healthcare Facility environments such as Hospitals, Theatre Suites, Medical Facility, Private Consultation Rooms, Dentists, Operating Theatres, Pharmaceutical Plants, Laboratories, Laundries, Kitchens and more.

With color evenly impregnated through the 4mm thick polymer skin, the theatre swingdoors for hospitals and healthcare series doors will never require painting, and retains its clean attractive appearance for the life of the door. All doors are standard with double glazed polycarbonate windows, recessed for protection and providing exceptional visibility for pedestrians

In line with healthcare guidelines and regulations, our Theatre Doors assist with operating room ventilation, and especially air changes per hour, to comply with specification. Our team of consultants and installers have an understanding of the pressure requirements of operating theatres and anaesthetic bays.

Full surround seals maintain positive pressure required by operating theatres (operating theatre, operating room or operating suite) and labs. To maintain positive pressure the room should be sealed to prevent egress of air and to allow

Hospitals may have positive pressure rooms for patients with compromised immune systems. Air will flow out of the room instead of in, so that any airborne microorganisms (e.g., bacteria) that may infect the patient are kept away as well as prevention of dust, insect and contaminant intrusion.

Client Comments:

“Our doors were heavy and made of wood, so when the nurses want to go through it and they are carrying something, it’s too hard to pull the door. OH&S would have been a problem and it was causing a lot of grief, so we had to come up with a better solution. We tried to change the hinges, but realised that it was a replacement door that was required. I saw the benefit in the Remax door, I like that it is plastic, which is better than wooden doors – nothing sticks to it and it hides marks. Since other hospitals already have Remax doors, I asked them to give us a quote and they installed a sample door that the nurses have been trying out. Simply, they have made doors that work. We placed an order for four more doors. Since installing the doors, we experienced a reduction of OH&S claims which is definitely a financial benefit.” -Epworth Maintenance Manager.
