With the Australian Government encouraging the waste sector to find innovative solutions that can help preserve resources and prevent waste from going to landfill; Remax Doors were recently contracted by the Builder/Architect of a new Waste Recovery Facility to install High Speed Doors at one of the largest Waste Recycling Facilities in the world.
The Facility was built to cater for the growing demands in waste management and recycling needs within Australia; while diverting an amazing 90% of materials from landfill. A truly remarkable achievement and Australian initiative supported by a $5 million grant as part of an initiative funded from the largest waste and recycling funding program in Australia. The facility is open to service trades, builders, businesses and households as well as accepting asbestos for disposal.
The 9,000 square metre plant required access doors for eight large doorway openings in order to allow fast and effective access for waste collection vehicles (garbage and recycling trucks as well as trade vehicles) in and out the facility while also aiming to reduce dust and noise during offloading. The eight Movidor Rapid Roller Doors were built by Remax Doors to suit openings of 6120mmH x 3500mmW and were ideal for the facility, providing:
- Fully crash-out and self-relocating soft-edge curtain
- Full surround fascia
- Stainless Steel Motor Covers
- Stainless Steel Controller Enclosures
- Push Button Operation
- Guides to have Full Brush Seals
- 1 x Level of windows
The addition of a large 8m wide Concertina Rapid Folding Door at this facility completes the requirements needed by the Waste Recovery Facility and complements the site; having been fitted with some of the world’s most advanced resource recovery and manufacturing technology.
