When it comes to constructing pharmaceutical facilities, precision and hygiene are non-negotiable. We recently collaborated with a building company, Bio Construct, on a new pharmaceutical project in Melbourne to deliver clean room door solutions that meet stringent industry requirements.
What were the project requirements?
For this project, the facility required a number of clean room doors, designed specifically for spaces with strict hygiene regulations and restricted access protocols. A key requirement for our client was maintaining varied pressure between rooms (up to 30 pascals of pressure), to ensure air flowed consistently from clean rooms outwards. This is critical in preventing contaminants migrating into clean room facilities as doors are opened and closed; this is crucial in industries like pharmaceuticals and semiconductor manufacturing, where contamination control is paramount.
Movidor Clean Room Doors were carefully selected to ensure seamless functionality, hygiene, and security.
Hygiene & functionality at the core
To prioritise hygiene, all doors are fully powder-coated, providing a durable and easy-to-clean surface. The controllers are designed to be concealed in the ceiling, and all cabling embedded within insulated walls. This design eliminates exposed components, ensuring that all surfaces can be easily washed and wiped clean, again to maintain optimum hygiene standards.
Touch-free & highly secure
In a pharmaceutical setting, minimising touchpoints is essential to reduce contamination risks. Remax Doors’ Movidor Clean Room Doors are equipped with touch-free fob sensors, allowing authorised personnel to enter and exit without direct contact with buttons / handles etc. This system not only enhances hygiene but also addresses the requirements for high security access control.
